I don't mind the faces, but I'm still getting more and more accustomed with using this mode of communication.
If this were a face-to-face conversation, this probably wouldn't be a problem.

You seemed upset that I might be refusing you and that was not my intention and just emphasizing being sad when I've agreed just didn't sit well with me.
It is a miscommunication, and I just wanted to be honest.
I'm sure once we converse more often, this won't be a problem.
