[ Wandering hands makes him wriggle — he's ticklish. ]
It's just how my body looks!
[ Takes one to know one... Kizuna wonders in what universe could he possible measure up to Wriothesley's level before a little signal goes off in his head. He's having a hard time not dappling kisses against his mouth, but at least this time he can think through them, breathing in the comfort and laughter. ]
You could link with me. [ He already knows one facet of it, after all. ] If you ever wondered what it would be like to fight your mirror image.
[There is something very dangerous about that grin on Wriothesley's face when they squirm under his touch. A man who very much takes advantage of a weakness sighted. He digs his fingers into Kizuna's sides.]
Uh huh, of course. [He's not listening as he lets fingers sneak under the other's shirt to drags nails against skin. He pauses at Kizuna's words. The man's eyes light up with something akin to wonder and excitement.]
I do. [Absolutely. Wriothesley isn't an advocate for violence, but when it comes to a good fight and spar, he's very much interested.]
[ Kizuna's eyes blow wide; he does not need empathy to realize he's in peril. ]
— ah, hah, wait! [ A pathetic noise middling somewhere between a squeak and a gasp whuffs out of him as nails meet skin. Kizuna's snapped out to grasp at Wriothesley's arms to attempt to halt his path, and therein proves that he is quite strong, actually, even if he's valiantly attempting to swallow back ill-begotten laughter. Congratulations on your two-for-one win, warden. ] Don't play unfair!
[Don't think he hasn't noted the strength of that grip as the other tries to stop his onslaught of tickling. Wriothesley laughs and he moves until Kizuna is on his back and he's straddling the other, making it even harder for the empath to escape his fingers gently digging into their sides and stomach.] Is it unfair or me taking advantage of a weakness?
[Oh, but he can't help but lean down to press a kiss to that pout. It won't stop him, but Wriothesley laughs and smile in such a childish way, bright and happy. The weariness the man had shown when he had opened the door of his room seems so faraway suddenly.]
[ Flipped flat on his back and made prone, his heartbeat flutters and then straight scrambles up into the hollow of this throat when he realizes that his bid for freedom did not work as he hoped. He opens his mouth to protest and finds that avenue quickly sealed off with a kiss — the defeated grumble against Wriothesley's lips erupts into a peel of laughter as he's released into the waiting grasp of his hands. ]
I won't! Not — [ a choked back gasp, then a giggle ] — if you keep it up..!
[ Not that he has any chance of speaking normally anyway as he tries to curl and swat and wiggle away from the onslaught, laughter bubbling up straight from his gut. ]
[Wriothesley tickles the other a little more before he plants his hands at the sides of Kizuna's head, a bright grin on his face as he takes in the sight of the other. His hair drapes over them like a curtain as though to obscure them from view. As though they aren't already the only two people there.]
Don't be like that, sweetheart. I like hearing you laugh. [He's a little breathless despite him being the one attacking the other, but maybe because he was also laughing alongside.
Is he sweettalking a little? Yeah.] I heard laughter is the best medicine.
[ Even in the worst throes of not being able to breathe, Kizuna is momentarily swayed by the sight likewise hanging above him — light eyes, a glowing smile. A warmth that radiates, skin flushed from exertion. Lungs heaving a little, Kizuna seems to consider those words, the deep cadence Wriothesley delivers them on.
Ignore the happy tears hemming the corners of his eyes. Or the fact the did, in fact, forget to breathe for a moment.
Like he said. Unfair. ]
Best medicine for who, I wonder? [ Fingers rise to twine with a long lock of hair. ] You're supposed to be resting, remember.
Isn't it universal? You don't think laughter is good for everyone? I like to think everyone benefits from a good laugh. [He gets off the other if only to fall onto his side next to the other. His eyes are bright with mirth as he regards the other.]
Resting is easier after a good work out. [His counterpoint honestly is not wrong, but it is obviously just being used as an excuse.] I'll rest easier after tiring out.
[He tangles their legs together again.] Maybe I just have too much energy right now.
[ Wriothesley thinks he's going to get off easy for that one, doesn't he?
(Well. He's right.) ]
Tiring out by tickling me? [ Kizuna pokes his chest, knowing well there's not a ticklish spot on this man that he could find and not get destroyed for in the process. ] That seems skewed in someone's favor.
[ Coughing a little to clear the hoarseness from his voice, Kizuna settles as much as he can after being so riled up, dragging his heel thoughtfully up the line of the other man's shin. ]
Too much energy is a problem, though. What to do about that...
[Never punished. This is why he gets away with so many things.]
Tickling and laughing takes energy. [He knows that the energy he expended is nothing close to being the one being at the receiving end of the tickling. He has the audacity to pretend that he has used up oh so much energy doing so though.] Well, you can't blame me for not being ticklish. It would be a disadvantage in a fight like how it's a disadvantage for you now.
[Getting warmer, but there's no reaction from his shin. Though, he isn't thinking the other is trying to find some weak point on him at the moment.]
Well, apparently not tickling. It seems you aren't up for it. [Brat.]
You wouldn't be either, if you knew what it felt like. [ Never punished and for what? To be charming? ] But you know, if you're going to brute force it, maybe I just have to be clever about it?
[ That's what happens when you pit a warden against a detective, no? ]
And as I recall, there was one spot...
[ Hefting up on an elbow, shirt still all rucked and eyes gleaming terribly, Kizuna uses the hand he'd just poked him with to press down on Wriothesley's chest. It's not much leverage, but it is just enough to dip into his space with a heated exhale, lips descending on the curvature of his ear and the cool metal of his piercings. ]
I just had to grow out of being ticklish. Perhaps you can grow out of it too. [But then he wouldn't be able to tickle Kizuna and that'd be disappointing.
Oh, but isn't that smile a little dangerous? Those words?
He doesn't know what to expect when the other moves. He opens his mouth to say something, but he feels hot, wet tongue against his ear and the slight press and tug against his piercings, and the only thing that comes out is a sharp intake of breath and an embarrassing little keening sound. His hand shoots out to grab the other's arm out of instinct.]
Aha. [ A laugh breathed against sensitive skin as Kizuna releases him. ] Isn't it~?
[ Gratified by the noise he'd gotten out of him, he leans back, pleased to be acting like the brat he'd been branded as. Be careful what you wish for. ♥
He does, however, punctuate the action with a little kiss to Wriothesley's nose. ]
Kizuna is so bad for his heart and his libido, honestly. It's split down the middle as to which one is suffering.
They're so damn cute kissing his nose like that though. Maybe it's more his poor heart in the end.] Hey, be careful how dirty you play. I'm no saint, you know. [Messing with a guy's erogenous zone is not the same as tickling, thank-you-very-much.]
I have half a mind to tickle you again, bastard. [Affectionately said.]
[ No, but it did give him a brief (and somewhat literal) taste of victory. ...Very brief, if the cadence of his smile as it softens into something silly and oh-so-chaste is anything to go by. ]
I kindly refuse!
[ Don't mind him trying to worm away from that threat... ]
[You ever just look at a guy and think you might be kind of down bad for them? That seeing them smile so soft and want to hear them laugh is something you so very much want again?
Yeah, anyways, moving on.]
A truce huh? Somehow, I feel like that the person who'll get more out of this truce is you than me. [He isn't going to tickle the other again, but maybe he'll make them sweat a bit.]
[ Those emotions definitely don't flutter up into the air right where he can sense them. Like if he were to inhale, they'd catch right in the back of his throat. Moving on. ]
No way! [ He is sweating. ] You don't even want to know what my tongue can do left unchecked!
[ Is it his most compelling argument? Probably not.
Kizuna. [He laughs.] We're literally trapped in some sex resort. Isn't wanting to know what your tongue can do left unchecked be something I want to actually know?
[His tone is teasing if not a little honest.] I feel like you're jumping from hot water to even hotter water at this point.
[He does take that hand, but not to shake. He laces their fingers and tugs the hand to his lips to kiss the empath's knuckles.]
[ It's not so much the words themselves that halt him in his tracks and more the press of honesty beneath their timbre, however cheeky the both of them might be acting. When did it become instinctual to tighten the fit of their fingers once brought together? Better yet, to think — he'd want him to know that regardless of where they are.
Propping himself up on an elbow, he concedes. ]
Here I was trying to reassure you. [ He sighs through his nose. ] What's "hotter water" now, anyway?
[Look, they've been handholding since the first day. It's just become part of something they do. They're really just doomed to the sweet, gentle entwine of fingers.
He slowly opens Kizuna's palm so he can press it against his cheek.]
I might actually throw out your back. I'm behaving right now despite you riling me up. [His smile surprisingly soft, even if he rolls his eyes with a laugh.]
[ Palm and fingers mold easily to the side of his face when prompted, warmth spreading in the cup of skin against skin. He rubs his thumb there with a wondering hum despite the upwards swing of his heart in his chest. Kizuna's gaze flicks down, noting the cadence of such a smile. ]
Oh? So good. [ A likewise tease. ] Threatening to tickle me might have been more effective, though.
[He turns his head so he can kiss Kizuna's palm. He never considered himself an affectionate man, yet he can't help but press kisses whenever he can. It's Kizuna's fault for being such a kissable man, honestly.]
Oh? Do you want to be tickled? I can certainly make that happen if you want. [He grins against the man's palm before licking it. This guy is a menace, sorry.]
Definitely not. [ Kizuna is quick to fire back, protective over the sanctity of his sides. But it's not lost on him either, the significance of his kisses and, yes — that devilish flash of tongue. Kizuna laughs, that same thumb he'd been using to draw soft patterns on Wriothesley's cheekbone shifting in his grasp. He uses it to dip against the corner of his mouth, peeling back his lip to reveal one of his sharp eye teeth. ] Instead, you could put that to better use.
[ Leaning in on his elbow, he captures his mouth with a pliant kiss. ]
[A hand slides to cup the back of Kizuna's neck, deepening the kiss. He drags sharp canines against the empath's bottom lip, a lopsided grin felt in the press of lips.]
Are you trying to seduce me now? [He starts to trail kisses down Kizuna's jaw. Chaste and sweet.]
I felt jealous seeing marks on you. [He's not unpacking why though. Why doesn't matter.] I wanted to leave my own suddenly. I understand why you got how you did. [But Wriothesley doesn't have the excuse of his suit. Whatever is making him jealous is his own doing.]
Nope. But... what was it that you said? [ Rhetorical, soft, a little nervy. ] That I was a natural?
[ Feeling the ample scrape of those teeth is what really makes his thoughts start to spin out; Kizuna is eager to chase his smile's shape as he rolls onto his back and brings the boxer with him. His focus almost slides if not for the way that Wriothesley's words drop against him, into this rhythm they share.
It's true that he hadn't really dissuaded wolves and other cats from using their teeth. It hadn't seemed like it would matter, from hunter to hunter. But this — it's over. It's no longer about the game. Gaze fluttering open, he also suppresses the why of it. He steadies one palm on Wriothesley's side to balance him and the other smooths up over his cheek, his ear, restlessly carding through hair until he reaches the back of his bandaged neck. Fingers press there in remembrance. ]
