Let's get acquainted for fun and results. If you are not otherwise occupied this evening, why not stop by my suite for a cup of tea and other refreshments?
Your friend, Lorenz 🌹
[Endure him. Come by for this date/booty call/tea party.]
[Wriothesley can't help but snort and chuckle at the text he sees pop-up on his watch. It's completely unsurprising to him that Lorenz would send him a text in such a way. How endearing.
Fun and results, huh?
He doesn't reply to the text, but once the early evening hits, Lorenz will hear a knock on his room door. Wriothesley is wearing black slacks today with a wine red dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He decided to forego a waistcoat, looking marginally more casual than usual.]
[He doesn't reply... Embarrassingly, this makes Lorenz a little anxious, like perhaps he's not replying because he's quietly turning Lorenz down, or something like that...! Should he gather the refreshments anyway? Send another message? What is the protocol!
He decides he will gather the refreshments, anyway. So when he answers the door equally dressed down in Just slacks and a shirt (but purple!), said refreshments are visible on a tiny round table not far from the suite entrance, with the rest of the place besides the little bathroom right behind. Truly, a pitiful shoebox of a room...
A neat little box sits on the desk against the wall, out of place among the default decor because it, at least, is a nice purple. They'll get to that.]
Oh! You came! [AHEM ahem] That is, of course you would come, and precisely on time... You look wonderful.
[Look, he's so used to just getting meeting notices sent and the what have you that he doesn't think about replying. He just has a blanket acceptance that he'll be there. That, and Wriothesley's use of the watch is so minimal he spends most of it just reading things than actually replying. He thinks very little about making a reply.
Wriothesley folds his arms over his chest with an easy smile.]
Yeah? Was I supposed to decline or something? [Oops, maybe he should have replied. He'll remember to reply next time.
Also, Lorenz, he always has his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He has never worn his dress shirts properly in his life.] It's different to see you dressed down. I think I could also get used to this look on you. Can I come in, monsieur?
[Lorenz glances off to the side and shrugs, like, who can say? No one here in this doorway had any errant anxieties about who might or might not show up at his door at the requested time! Absolutely not! It's completely fine now that Wriothesley is in fact right here, so never mind that.
In any case, Wriothesley is very pretty, and Lorenz leans in to snag a quick kiss before stepping back and gesturing for him to come in.]
I am... trying my hand at a more casual approach.
[To hanging around in his own suite, that is, because his dweeby text still was what it was. Baby steps.]
I have tea- of course- and sweets. The seating arrangement is terribly cramped, but please, do try and make yourself comfortable.
[The tiny table comes with its own matching chairs. It's going to be knee-bumping close at this table, almost as if that's the point of this place. Who can say.]
[Lorenz might be trying to brush things aside, but Wriothesley has been around Lorenz a few times now and knows better.] Sorry. I had taken the invite as a sure thing, so I didn't reply. I'll reply next time. [He is apologetic. Lorenz is the type who gets in their head and he knows that. He grabs Lorenz' hand and places a kiss on the back of their hand before letting go.
Hopefully that will assuage their anxieties a bit.]
You look good.
[He isn't bothered by the small size of the room. His was much smaller, so seeing proper floor to walk through and a mostly set-up room is different from what he had grown used to. He takes a seat at the small table, folding his hands over his lap.]
It doesn't bother me. You must know that the differences between the Rank 4 rooms to this is honestly obvious. This does fine enough. [He gestures at the other to join him of course. Let them knock knees together or what have you. Company is company.] You'll find that I am easy enough to please. What spread have you decided for us?
[A look around the room. Don't think he didn't notice the box on the desk. It sticks out well enough that he would be blind to miss it. He says nothing about it and returns his gaze to Lorenz.] And what do you have planned for us this fine evening?
[Oh, he's being read like a book yet again— he huffs, but he's amused about it if sheepish. The hand kiss is sweet and appreciated; he wiggles his fingers at Wriothesley, like, yes yes, he's fussy, he knows...]
Thank you... I am happy you came.
[Anyway, let him putter around to get the tea ready for serving; the sweets are already on the table on a lovely little platter. They are rose-themed, of course. This time, he's managed to find the elusive floral tea, of a higher quality that he prefers.]
We are having a floral blend. Help yourself to a snack, while I pour. And as for the evening, did I not say? [remember.] Fun and results.
[Lorenz makes it easy, okay. He can see the guy getting stuck in his head all too easily.]
I could never say no to such a sweet invite.
[Wriothesley doesn't touch anything, but merely watches the way that Lorenz putters about as he gets everything ready to serve. The boxer has definitely started a small collection of teas, tins stacked in his room. It's a pity he has no real means to easily make tea in his room at the moment.
He chuckles.] I do not mind waiting. Such things are better enjoyed together, so the wait is well worth it.
[There it is again. Fun and results.] You did. So it is a surprise then.
[One day he'll appreciate the merits of being read so easily, but not right this second when it's still a little embarrassing, ah... A-Anyway, he's puttering; he's procured himself a hot plate to prepare the tea with, which definitely did not involve a lot of trial and error and replacing a few items. He's an expert now. It's sooo impressive, right?
Ahem.]
You enjoyed my last surprise; I am certain beyond words that I can pull it off again.
[Good luck, Lorenz. He's waiting for the pot, watching Wriothesley. Hmm!]
[Look, if Lorenz wants to be flattered he merely needs to ask. Wriothesley will flatter the guy, even when they don’t deserve it. Lorenz is just cute enough that he’s okay offering a few extra words of praise.]
You make it sound like I’m hard to pleased. [He is not. Lorenz can give him a singular tea bag and he’d probably be content.]
You worried about lil’ ol’ me? How sweet of you. It isn’t that long since we’ve seen each other is it? [A little teasing, okay.] I’m fine though. I guess a little restless with so much free time, but I have nothing to complain about.
[Wriothesley is missing very vital information which is all the messes he is going to get into through February.] What about you?
I am making conversation, Wriothesley. Should I not ask how you are doing? Imagine the gall!
[Gosh! He could never. He waves a hand, like, this isn't even close to his bare minimum amount of fussing, which Wriothesley has firsthand experience with, anyway.]
I have been fine, I suppose.
[Honestly, a little bored, which makes him twitchy. What misadventures will this place come up with next...]
Ah! I did procure use of a kitchen, though. Once I have mastered my first dish, I will bring you a sample.
I can't help but tease. Thank you for asking, really. [He lets out a soft chuckle. He knows how fussy the other can get, so no, this is not even Lorenz' final form as far as fussing goes.]
Oh? Picked up cooking? I guess this place gives us a lot of time to pick up hobbies. [He hasn't picked any up, finding a good amount of his time filled with snooping about the resort. He should though. There's only so much he can fill his time with at the moment.] I look forward to it. Who could say no to a home cooked meal from such a gentleman?
[He thinks he might take the offer of using someone's kitchen himself. He wouldn't say it's a hobby, but he does have the itch to make a mess of a kitchen every so often.] It sounds like you've been well enough then. That's good.
