I'd love to take more time for myself! But it's just the nature of my job. I mean, I'm the only one in my platoon within the Knights. The Outriders used to be a whole group of people, but it's just me on my own. That's a lot of responsibility for one girl to handle, let me tell you! So taking time off is out of the question.

[ Circumstances would be different if she asked for help, but ... Amber is unfortunately one of these oblivious hard workers who can't see the extent of their own problem. ]

Oh! I suppose we could be relaxing right now! Wow, I really have a thing or two to learn about relaxing, huh? [ She giggles. ] Talking to you has made me feel pretty great so I think you might be onto something here! I guess I'm such a proactive person that I thought you had to do be doing something in order to relax! [ At least she's kind of self aware...! ]

[He frowns a little. Look, he can't help but judge a little bit that someone would be alone in their regime. It's the same way that he thinks that Neuvillette has much too much work for one person. Still, this situation Amber was in didn't make sense in his mind. It's like expecting him to only assign one guard to watch over the entirety of the Fortress of Meropide.] Mademoiselle...do you not see the problem? Why are you in a platoon by yourself? If it is a lot of responsibility for one person then the responsibility should be shared.

[People should get help when it is necessary. He does not handle everything on his own to keep the Fortress going. He is not a fool to not make sure he has the personnel to handle whatever might happen.

A shake of his head.] Relaxing differs from person to person, but it ultimately is something you should do that separates you from your work. A hobby or merely getting proper rest. Some might want to do something in that time that helps them unwind, but it is up to the person to find what works for them. [He gestures at her.]

You should very much consider finding something that helps you relax.

[ She waves a hand. ] It’s a long story. I’ll spare you the details, plus I don’t want to kill the vibe since it’s kind of sad.

[ Her Grandfather’s disappearance is still a sore spot for her to talk about. Nevertheless, it’s refreshing to hear such kind words, especially from a stranger. ]

I really do need something new, huh…! I guess my main hobbies outside of work are gliding and sewing, but they contribute to my job so much that it’s hard to separate them as leisure activities on their own…

[ Though finding something new that she likes may be an interesting challenge…! Maybe even in this place! ]

Well, regardless of the reasons it has gotten to that point, it would be a disservice to you and your higher ups not to seek out some form of help to relieve some of your duties.

[If he knew someone under him was working themselves into an early grave, he would definitely do something about it. Those things, he rather not let fester.]

Well, you'll probably be able to find something to do here. It's not like we can readily go back to our jobs while here. [There would surely be plenty of downtime. When people aren't sleeping around that is.] Maybe there are things that you've always wanted to try that you can try now.
